Hi! I'm Sophie. I absolutely love working with young people. I have worked in a secondary school SEND department for 2 and a half years. During this time I have supported 11-16 year olds with their learning in a wide range of lessons, mainly on a 1:1 basis. As well as this, I have also been a tutor for 3 different young people all of whom were in Sixth Form. My qualifications vary. Hi! My name is Sophie. I have been a Teaching Assistant in a Secondary school for two and a half years. I think young people are amazing, and firmly believe that by providing additional support where it is needed, all young people can thrive. I have always undertaken a very child led approach. Every child is different, and I value the input of the young person. I will always be there to guide, but I can't support the young person without truly knowing what support they would benefit from. Though I am not an expert when it comes to specific subjects, I do have a huge amount of experience support young people that are finding school more challenging than others. I love to learn, so I would always study the subjects I am providing tutoring in and make sure that my teaching is specialised to the level required. My availability is vast and flexible, so I am her for you when you need it.
