Robyn

I matriculated in 2018 from Fairmont High School in Cape Town, South Africa. I am completing my teaching degree during the course of 2023. I am majoring in English, Afrikaans and Life Orientation. I have been a tutor for 5 years. I worked in a school in 2022, and gained an enormous amount of experience with regards to teaching, classroom management and working in a school. My passion is to work with children of all ages and help them reach their full potential.

I am completing Bachelor of Education degree during 2023, majoring in English, Afrikaans and Life Orientation. I am a qualified EFL teacher. I like to be creative, and I want to use that creativity to develop engaging lessons that will motivate a class. My people skills are well rounded through au pairing and tutoring young students and completing an internship at Durbanville Primary School. I coach hockey at a high level and have good management skills as a result of being a coach and a Western Province Hockey Umpire. Being a people’s person, I get on very well with people of all ages, from young children to adults. I am responsible, trustworthy, hardworking, and dedicated. I'm still dedicated to developing my teaching abilities and helping the school succeed. I am studying to become a Senior and FET phase teacher as I connect very well with children and young adolescents. I have always dreamed of being a teacher. I had the best teachers at school and they inspired me to not only be the academic teacher but to be my students support system in every aspect of their lives. I aspire to be the teacher that my students feel comfortable enough with to come to me with any issues they may have and or even if they just need someone to hear them out. One of my strengths is helping and teaching people. My other interests are athletics, hockey, hockey umpiring and outdoor activities. I am a Western Province Hockey Umpire and umpire at Regional Hockey Tournaments. I umpired in the Interprovincial Hockey Tournament in June 2019 and June 2022. I umpired at the Indoor Hockey Nationals during November and December 2019. Umpiring is a big interest of mine and it is my goal to umpire at the Olympics one day.
