I have been teaching for approximately 8 years, and I actually thrive on the challenge of seeing my students grow and develop. In discussing the subject of teaching I have a simple philosophy namely, every student deserves a chance to learn and to be taught. Clearly, students learn at a different pace and it is my role as an experienced tutor to implement strategies and techniques that work for them. I am also mindful that as an educator I have to develop positive learning experiences for my students. Maybe there is no perfect way to teach, but there is a right way to approach every lesson. All successful lessons need to be thought out and planned in advance to achieve maximum pupil enrichment. My planning involves breaking a subject down into bite-sized pieces, as I firmly believe that this step-by-step process reinforces learning. Through reflection and critical analysis, I am flexible enough to adapt to the needs and limitations of each individual to achieve a positive learning outcome. It is only through critical analysis that I can become more experienced and skilled in delivering the positive learning outcomes that students deserve.
