Hi! My name is Flora. Originally, I’m from Hungary, however, I’ve lived in a few different places, including 6 years in the UK. I studied Languages and Intercultural communication in Edinburgh, Scotland and spent an Erasmus year focusing on linguistics in Alicante, Spain.
I have 2 years of experience in teaching English as a foreign language both on-site and online. I worked with a variety of levels, from absolute beginners to advanced learners. My speciality includes preparing students for exams such as IELTS and TOEFL, conversation classes and introduction to pragmatics and cultural context. Additionally, as I personally took IELTS and the Cambridge proficiency exam, I can give you some useful tips and insights when it comes to preparing for them.
In my classes, I follow the PPP approach, presenting the students with the main idea of the class, followed by practice of what we have learnt. Additionally, I always make sure to give my students feedback and ask them for their input on the lessons.
Our first class will focus on your goals, motivation and interests. We will talk about your language skills, your learning style and your preferences. After that, I will come up with a plan and timeline for how you can reach your goals. Our classes will mainly focus on speaking, this will help you gain confidence and feel more comfortable with the English language.
