In 2019, I got my Bachelor's degree in Area Studies (specializing in Great Britain) at Moscow State University. In 2021, I graduated from the same University with a Master's degree in Linguistics (specializing in teaching English as a foreign language). In 2022, I got my second Master's degree in TESOL at Sheffield Hallam University.

My name is Elena. I'm from Russia but for the past two years I've been living in England (Sheffield). I got my Master's degree at Sheffield Hallam University and after that I was working part-time as a teaching assistant in schools. Living in the language environment helped me to understand the language and culture more, which had a big impact on my teaching - I prefer to teach the "real" language that is actually used by the native speakers. Moreover, from working in schools I gained an understanding of how best to support and teach different students, as each child has their unique style of learning. I'm very passionate about teaching English and seeing my students succeed is one of my favourite things. My latest student whom I've been helping to prepare for a state exam online (English as a foreign language) got a B+, and his happiness and excitement was the best reward!
