Hello , my name is Daria I am a current undergraduate psychology student looking to become a neuropsychologist once I finish my degree and work with children. I have tutored kids since I was in sixth form and found it to be something I really enjoy. When it comes to teaching I think that a very important aspect of it is to build a good bond with the student and create an environment where they can feel free to ask questions and be themselves without feeling shy or embarrassed. Another very important part is to adjust the teaching methods according to the child and what works best for them. Answering past papers or just explaining things may not work for everyone so I always try to make sure that the way I teach each child is unique and fits their learning method. I also try and make the lessons a bit fun especially for the younger students as I know that sitting in silence and answering past papers for an hour is not necessarily the most interesting and kids can often get distracted so I try my best to make the lesson different and interesting each time so the students are encouraged to strive not only during the lesson but also outside of it.
