I am Claudia, a specialist in Bilingual Education (Spanish-English) with over 11 years’ experience teaching Spanish and English to mainly adults and many teenagers as well. I am also an official DELE examiner certified by Instituto Cervantes. In my country, Spain, I started my career as an English teacher being responsible for teaching English focused on Cambridge certifications (KET, PET, FCE, CAE) and I was also in charge of preparing students to pass their English courses, from Primary School to University Entrance examinations.
Since moving to the UK, more than 7 years ago, I have specialized in Spanish education and I have taught Spanish for both corporate (Google, Ivi London, Paddy Power, EY, Santander UK, etc.) and private clients. I have been teaching long enough to realize and confirm that a “one-size-fits-all” language approach does not work. We all have different goals, learning styles, skills and abilities. Consequently, my lessons are student-tailored to ensure you get maximum value, knowledge and enjoyment and make sure we bothwill be working on the same page. In my lessons, all language skills are practiced [speaking, reading, listening, writing and the use of language (grammar and vocabulary)] to guarantee the creation of the adecuate foundation and basics of the language and the correct use of it.
I decided to come to the UK to give a step further in both, personal and professional lives and to fulfill a dream. I love teaching and translating, and I am grateful I do both as a living. In addition, my career as an educator and teacher has given me a wide range of resources to improve as a professional but also as an individual. Having being in contact with people from all around the world is a treasure to me, and has allowed me to become a better professional and person, giving me the ability to ensure that every person has different needs when learning a language. I describe myself as goal-oriented, determined, upbeat, hands-on and enthusiastic, and I am always seeking new challenges in education, translation and in my personal life. I consider education and languages a life-style where personal and professional improvement is a must.
