My name is Carla and I've been teaching English for over 3 years now. I graduated from the University of Bologna in Conference Interpreting (English and Spanish), but in my BA I also studied some Chinese! In 2019 I earned my CELTA at International House in Rome, and ever since I've been in love with teaching. I feel so proud when I help my students achieve their goals. I believe that learning is a lifelong process - that's why I love keeping up to date, especially as for teaching methodologies. I regularly follow online courses and webinars, to listen to other teachers' experiences and improve the quality of my teaching as well.

In 2019 I earned my CELTA at International House in Rome, and ever since I've been in love with teaching. I feel so proud when I help my students achieve their goals. Only thanks to the CELTA course have I become aware of how to engage students in the (online) classroom: they are at the very heart of each lesson! The teacher in fact is not just an information provider, but is there to guide and support pupils throughout the activities that will contribute to their learning process. I am a cheerful person and enjoy company, although I have learned to appreciate being alone as well (I'm an only child!) Taking long walks on the beach is my go-to activity every time I'm bored or gloomy: I am fortunate enough to live by the sea, so whenever it's sunny and I'm not too busy I go for a quick stroll. In my free time I like learning new things. I either sign up for online courses or read volumes - there's always so much yet to discover!
