Hi! My name is Abel and I am originally from the sunny tropics of Malaysia. I've had extensive background in teaching and performing so would be quite certain you'd go home with at least a small takeaway!
Singing - The idea of singing in front of someone can be daunting, but the fact that you've even tried to find a singing teacher shows your interest, and that alone is enough for me to help you improve.
Singing is fundamentally about the coordination between mind and body which involves not only a biological understanding of yourself, but also a mental comprehension of how YOU as the individual produces sound. My methods of teaching incorporate the technical aspects of singing as well as a personalized approach for each student to address specific problems that they might have.
From Classical to Musical Theatre, RnB to Pop, if there's a song you want to sing, I can help you do it.
English - Coming from a country where English is not our First Language, I've realised that people often underestimate my proficiency merely based on the way I look and where I come from. Little do they know that I was a World Champion public speaker and debater and have been teaching English to both Non-native speakers as well as Native speakers. I teach speaking and writing and will definitely find the time to read your fanfic haha!
Debates - Being a competitive debater for 10 years and coach for numerous national and international debate champions, I think I know a thing or two about the art of competitive arguing. Debates do not happen just in tournaments but also in every day life. My work as a lawyer also has helped me fully hone my argumentative and critical thinking skills to not only help me analyse situations, but to also structure my thoughts and actions in a way that translates to optimal outcomes. In these classes you, too, will learn the framework of argumentation and how best to approach complexed, nuanced problems.
